EARTO, the European Association of Research and Technology Organisations, awarded SemiQon and VTT first prize in the “Impact Expected” category on 14 October 2025 in Brussels for a pioneering cryogenic CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) chip innovation. The solution enables the full capacity of advanced CMOS functionalities at cryogenic temperatures, thereby unlocking new possibilities for quantum computing and space applications.

Dr. Obert Golim receives a PoDoCo grant to develop 3D integration process for SemiQon’s quantum processor
SemiQon’s Junior Quantum Integration Engineer Dr. Obert Golim has been awarded a highly competitive PoDoCo grant to continue his work on 3D integration techniques for silicon-based quantum processors at SemiQon. The grant, valued at EUR 32,000, will support his research over a one-year period.
